EmptyADF - Create Blank ADF Disk Images on Amiga

EmptyADF - both GUI versions

About EmptyADF

EmptyADF is a simple tool for creating blank ADF (Amiga Disk File) disk images directly on classic Amiga systems. Ideal for emulation, backups, or creating fresh disks for development and retro use.

EmptyADF is available in two versions:

  • GadTools GUI version - works on Kickstart 2.0+ (V37+)
  • ReAction GUI version - requires Kickstart 3.0+ (V39+); also runs on AmigaOS 4.x

Both versions are functionally equivalent, differing only in GUI implementation.

Main features

  • Choose between OFS and FFS filesystem types
  • Select DD (880 KB) or HD (1760 KB) disk format
  • Optionally add a standard bootblock
  • Set a custom disk label (volume name)
  • Automatically assigns correct disk dates:
    • Last root alteration date
    • Last disk alteration date
    • Filesystem creation date

Requirements

GadTools version: Any Amiga with Kickstart 2.0 (V37) or higher.
ReAction version: Any Amiga with Kickstart 3.0 (V39) or higher, or AmigaOS 4.x.

Installation
